First up...Gucci by Frida Giannini Spring/Summer 2013:

Designer Frida Giannini conjured up the heydays of Roman Couture and Italian Contessas taking their Summer vacations in Capri, Sardinia and Positano with her FABULOUS collection for Spring/Summer 2013.

It was very Marella Agnelli of the FIAT Agnelli's and Marisa Berenson--as Style.com noted. Azalea pinks, florals, stark ivory's, chartreuse, pastel blue, and so on. It was PURE elegance. Clean, simple tunics, shapeless dresses, ruffles galore. STUNNING!!!!!!!

Printed Beauties: Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2013
It was all about Sicily with Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2013 Collection--but then again, when is it not. Street-theater puppet prints on dresses, skirts, tops, you name it--they were there. Raffia was also used--yes, like the Lucy Ball potato sack dress fabric! Whether or not that makes it to the stores (and if any woman will buy) will be fun to see. The Italian design duo also did stripes (a big trend for Spring/Summer 2013) in tunics, tops, and dresses of course. And lace--a big Dolce & Gabbana staple, was also quite evident. Viva Sicilia.
